Charity team building for

Something real to embrace, not another statement of intent.

  • We plan it around your team
  • Anywhere in the UK
  • A charity keeps what you build

Our happy clients include:

What it gives you

  • Engagement that survives the following Monday. People remember the day they built a wheelchair for someone. They forget the afternoon of trust falls.
  • Evidence for your ESG reporting. Units built, charity named, value donated, all documented.
  • A genuine story for the annual report. Photographs of your own people, not stock imagery of somebody else's.

The founder's view

o3e was founded on the idea that team building is force for good internally, so why not make it a force for good in the community too? Peter Lindsay started the company in 2011 after being asked to carve a totem pole out of polystyrene to represent a set of corporate values. The bikes, skateboards, care packages and beds given to people who need them represent those values way better.

We are a certified B Corporation, which means the way we run the business is independently audited rather than self declared.

Questions we get asked

Can we use this in our annual report and ESG disclosures?

Yes. You get the number of units built, the charity that received them and the value of the donation, which is documented evidence rather than a statement of intent.

Is o3e a B Corp?

Yes. o3e is a certified B Corporation, independently assessed on how the business treats its people, its charity partners, its suppliers and the environment. The certification is public and has to be renewed.

How large a group can you run this for?

Up to two thousand people at a single event. Large groups run in waves across a room so everybody takes part rather than watching.

How many people can take part?

Anywhere from six to two thousand. Smaller teams usually run one of our small group challenges, and very large groups run in waves so everybody builds something.

How long does it take?

Most events run between one and three hours. The short format builds fit inside a conference agenda and the full builds suit an away day.

Do we need a special venue?

No. Almost every event runs in a room you already have, whether that is your own office, a hotel function room or a conference space. We tell you exactly what the space needs when we quote.

What happens to what we build?

It is given to a charity, almost always on the same day. Wherever possible the charity comes and collects it in front of your team, which is the part people remember.

Tell us roughly what you have in mind.

A rough headcount and a rough date is enough to start. You get the prices first, and we only follow up if you want us to.
