A team around a table assembling mechanical prosthetic hands

Fewer than one in twenty upper limb amputees in the developing world can get a prosthetic hand. Your team builds them.

The kits and the instructions arrive with you. A video from The Hand Project sets out who receives them, then the assembly starts.

It is fiddly, and it is meant to be. People remember it.

  • Runs itself. No crew, no venue, no date in our diary.
  • Everything arrives in one box, delivered to your door.
  • A helpline is open during your event if anything is unclear.
  • Eco friendly and sustainably sourced materials.
  • You hear back from the recipient of the hand your team built.

Would you rather we ran it for you?The Hand Projectis the same build, with our crew and the charity in the room.

Where the donation goes

We are The Hand Project's UK partner. They give prosthetic hands to people in developing countries free of charge, funded entirely by corporate team building events like this one. Every hand your team builds is donated to an upper limb amputee somewhere access to health provision is limited. You hear back from the person who received it, usually nine to twelve months later.

Goes to The Hand Project

How a kit works, start to finish.

  1. Select your kitChoose your activity and the number of kits, based on how many people are taking part. Delivered in about 7 days.
  2. Choose your charityWe get in touch to agree who receives the donations. Mechanical hands always go to The Hand Project.
  3. Hold your eventInstructions are in the box, and we send a video from your charity to play at the start. We are on hand during the event if you need us.
  4. Return the leftoversWe do not like waste. Use the returns envelope for the paint pens and tools, and we collect what your team built and get it to the charity.
  5. The charity reports backAbout a month later you get feedback from the charity on what your donation did, which you can share with everyone who took part.
